Music Show Broadcast Guide

There are many ways you can support SHINee during their promotional cycles. But basically, to help them win on weekly Korean music shows you need to stream & purchase digitally on Korean streaming services like Melon & Genie and Stream SHINee’s latest MV on YouTube. If you review the music show breakdowns below, you will see how heavily skewed a lot of these programs are for “Digital Sales/Streaming”. So if you can, please support them by purchasing a subscription using the guides below. Purchasing on iTunes will only help with US Billboard charts, not anything in Korea. Keep in mind that wherever you purchase a physical copy from should report to Gaon & Hanteo charts because this is where SHINee gets their “Physical Sales” points from~! Music Show Voting

Live Voting is a little bit more tricky. To do the live text voting, you need to be AWAKE when the program airs. At the start of the music show, the MCs will announce the top 3 candidates of the week and open the voting (If they don’t announce SHINee, you can’t vote for them). Text votes only last the duration of the program (between when the MCs announce the start and close of voting). Any votes before or after that time will not count.

SBS The Show

– Tuesdays, SBS MTV, 8pm KST

Physical Sales + Digital Sales + Hashtag* = 35%
Tudou MV Views / Paid voting (on Tudou) = 35%
Live Voting (Text Korea** / Tudou China) = 30%

* Viewer Preference points are determined by a sample vote – People register on KBS with Korean social security number and are randomly selected. The first week of wins will be a 0 score because the poll hasn’t come in yet.
** Broadcast points are determined based on variety shows and other appearances SHINee was on that week for KBS.
